We are seeking a remote licensed physician to serve as our agency's Medical Director. This is an oversight and compliance role. The agency is fully staffed, and all day-to-day clinical operations, programming, and staff supervision are managed by our licensed social worker. Your main role is to provide the official medical signature and high-level oversight required by North Carolina regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Oversight: Serve as the official Medical Director on record to meet North Carolina state compliance guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in periodic, high-level quality assurance reviews of agency policies or procedures if required.
- Consultation: Available for occasional, high-level clinical consultation with the Clinical Director if an emergency medical question arises.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid, unrestricted Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license from the North Carolina Medical Board.
- Experience: Educational or clinical background working with mental health or substance use populations.
- Availability: Able to commit to the minimum weekly hours required by the state based on our current consumer volume (minimal active daily duties).
Pay: $550.00 per month
