We are a thriving, physician-owned family medicine practice looking for a motivated Medical Billing Specialist who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding results. You'll play a key role in keeping our revenue cycle running smoothly while working with a supportive and collaborative team.
What You'll Do
- Submit clean claims and ensure timely payment from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers
- Investigate, appeal, and resolve denied or underpaid claims
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to maximize collections
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Review documentation, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for billing accuracy
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing questions
- Help improve billing workflows and revenue cycle performance
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- At least 2 years of physician office medical billing experience
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing
- Experience with claim denials, appeals, and A/R follow-up
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with eClinicalWorks required
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding results
