THIS WHO YOU MIGHT BECOME: The Residential Dormitory Supervisor (RDS), under the direction of the Residential Supervisor, is a full-time, 40-hour a week, non-exempt, and hourly position that provides supervision, leadership, and support to their assigned areas to assure all aspects of the residential program expectations are well developed, fully staffed, and implemented consistently with regulation, accreditation requirements, Agency policy, and the tenets of LaSalle’s Residential Services. The RDS is a leadership position designed to allow for the development and delivery of high quality, trauma informed, effective, treatment focused, integrated residential treatment services which support the progress of residents and the attainment of their treatment goals. They support the connections between residential, clinical, and educational staff to assure the culture and environment foster a safe, effective, highly regarded system of care for our youth. The RDS works to support the recruitment and retention of capable, committed and high-functioning residential staff teams, who are well informed, skilled and able to incorporate all aspects of agency behavioral management strategies, positive youth development experiences and therapeutic interventions which support each youth’s progress.
THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Supports and monitors supervisory staff.
- Coordinator staff’s efforts related to ongoing supervision of the youth development specialists and supports strategies which provide day-to-day growth, and training which results in high performing workers, well managed job performance issues, and meaningful evaluations.
- Direct involvement in crisis management and development of Therapeutic Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Closely monitors all aspects of programs, schedules, documentation, and budgets to meet Agency standards.
- Oversees division facilities to be sure all physical aspects of the dormitories conform to Agency expectations, and the environment appropriately meets the needs of the residents.
- Works closely with clinic staff to assure sound treatment practices are well integrated into day-to-day residential programmings.
- Assures staffing ratios are met, documentation is complete, protocols are followed, and necessary exchange of information is tended to.
- Review all critical incident reports, identifies job performance issues and training needs related to staff interventions.
- Work closely with the Training Team for training and quality program development to assure residential staff access training opportunities which not only meet requirements but allow staff to effectively provide for the safety and well-being of each resident.
- Performs shift supervision and/or On-Duty Supervisor responsibilities as assigned.
- Participates in Agency-wide in-services, attends meetings as assigned, and supports the implementation of Service Outcomes Action Research and Positive Behavior Intervention Supports.
- Ensure that all staff follow mandated training and any other necessary training, dormitory recreation, equipment needs, clothing, and weekly supplies.
- Attends weekly Residential Leadership Team meeting and provides a weekly dormitory report and attends bi-weekly joint supervisor report.
- Provides direct oversight of dormitory treatment meetings.
- Assure that all necessary information is well communicated with dormitory staff.

- Associate’s Degree/equivalent college credits OR substantial direct care experience with residential services.
- Knowledge of all aspects of Residential Services.
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certified.
- Physically capable of fulfilling all responsibilities of position.
