QUALIFICATIONS:
1. BS Preferred 2. School theater production experience
POSITION/ GOAL:
To coordinate, organize, and produce the Interboro SD Youth theater program that encompasses students from all (4) community schools. This is considered an extracurricular contract.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees the artistic vision of the production.
- Approves the proposed costume and scenic designs.
- Guides the cast and crew.
- Strategic Planning: Casting, Blocking, and Scheduling rehearsals ? Communicates clearly with parents the schedule and expectations of the cast regarding behavior, rehearsal attendance, and commitment to the show.
- Communicates clearly with parents the items students are responsible to provide for themselves (this could include a personal makeup kit, base layers, and jazz shoes) ? Team Management: Checking in on the work of each member of the creative and technical team.
- Performance Accountability: director’s notes for cast and crew during rehearsal
- Discussing Financial Management with Production Manager
