About the Position
Northeast Contracting Company (NECC) is looking for dependable, hardworking Commercial Roofers to join our Hampton Roads team.
We are looking for individuals with commercial roofing experience who take pride in their work, work safely, and are ready to be part of a growing team.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace commercial roofing systems.
- Work with TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, insulation, cover boards, and related roofing materials.
- Perform roof tear-offs and prepare roof surfaces for installation.
- Install roofing membrane, insulation, flashing, fasteners, and accessories.
- Follow project plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Follow all NECC and OSHA safety requirements, including fall protection and PPE.
- Properly use and maintain roofing tools and equipment.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and staging roofing materials.
- Keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe.
- Protect buildings and property during roofing operations.
- Follow instructions from Foremen and Superintendents.
- Work effectively as part of a roofing crew.
- Report unsafe conditions or quality concerns to the Foreman.
Qualifications
- Commercial roofing experience preferred.
- Experience with TPO, PVC, EPDM, or other commercial roofing systems is a plus.
- Willingness to learn commercial roofing installation and repair.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Reliable and able to report to work on time.
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, climb ladders, work safely at heights, walk on commercial roof surfaces, and lift and carry roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
Compensation
$19.00–$28.00 per hour, based on commercial roofing experience, skills, certifications, and qualifications.
