Role Description The Expeditor is a part-time role at ZA Elm Grove in Elm Grove, WI. This position coordinates the flow of food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure accurate and timely service. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and prioritizing tickets, checking plated dishes for accuracy and presentation, and communicating with cooks and servers to resolve issues or delays. The Expeditor ensures special requests and dietary needs are correctly followed, helps maintain cleanliness and organization in the pass and expo area, and supports the team during peak service times. The role requires consistent attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as an expo or in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple orders and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Clear and professional communication skills for coordinating between kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
- Attention to detail to verify order accuracy, presentation standards, and special guest requests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Commitment to teamwork, reliability, and maintaining a respectful, inclusive workplace.
- Basic food safety awareness and willingness to follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
