Teacher of American Sign Language – 2026-2027 School Year
Requirements:
Valid NJ Teacher of American Sign Language OR candidate with 30 university credits MINIMUM in ASL, Communication, Deaf or Hard of Hearing Studies
Job Goals:
To provide an approved education program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth; to help pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a solid foundation for continued education; and to maintain positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, stakeholders, and other staff members.
Salary:
Following established JTEA Salary Guide ranging from $60,260 to $108,364

If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date of hire to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your position in NEW JERSEY.
