Gather Restaurant Group is expanding operations to the west side of Maui with an exciting new location in Kaanapali. We're building a team of culinary leaders who are passionate about high-quality food, strong kitchen systems, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Role Summary
We are seeking experienced Sous Chefs and Executive Sous Chefs to lead kitchen operations across Gather Restaurant Group locations. These roles are responsible for menu execution, team leadership, food quality, and maintaining efficient, compliant kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality and presentation
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to build a high-performing team
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls to meet food and labor targets
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations (ServSafe standards)
- Support menu development and execution alongside culinary leadership
- Maintain organization and cleanliness across walk-ins, storage, and prep areas
- Assist with scheduling and labor management to optimize kitchen productivity
- Support event and banquet execution as needed
- Uphold Gather Restaurant Group's culinary standards and brand values
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or similar kitchen leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; ServSafe certification preferred
- Proven ability to lead and develop a kitchen team
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience with inventory management and cost control
- Passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest experiences

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
