Job Summary
Detail Mold & Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Manager to oversee set-up, operation, and quality control across our CNC machinery, programmers, machinists, and operators. This role leads production in a climate-controlled precision/prototyping facility located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, and comes with a full benefits package.
Principal Responsibilities
· Oversee the quality of all parts produced in the machining cell
· Serve as the go-to resource for machining expertise, sharing knowledge and best practices across the shop
· Protect equipment from damage and take overall ownership of the machine cell
· Proactively manage workload, delegate daily machining tasks, and ensure deadlines are met
· Plan tooling requirements for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime
· Support the training and development of junior machinists
· Assist in quoting potential new business
· Prepare and operate CNC machines for drilling, grinding, milling, and similar operations
· Identify critical blueprint dimensions and train staff to inspect and verify them
· Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), support ISO certification standards, and follow established SOPs while contributing to continuous improvement
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
· 7–10+ years of CNC programming and manufacturing engineering experience
· 3–5+ years of leadership experience in contract manufacturing and precision machining
· Ability to work from drawings on a wide variety of complex parts
· Strong understanding of quality, safety, and inspection control standards
Physical Demands
· Minimal physical activity; occasional handling of objects ranging from 25–105+ pounds
· May require standing or walking for more than 4 hours per day
· Minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment
· Minimal exposure to environmental factors such as temperature extremes, dust, fumes, or loud noisesJob Summary

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
