PRESCHOOL TEACHER ASSISTANT (PART TIME)

We are looking for a Part Time Teacher Assistant to assist the Lead Teacher in our Preschool Class for children ages 3 years old – 5 years old (Pre-Kindergarten program) for the upcoming Schoolyear 2026-2027, working on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, beginning September 2026. The hours are 15 hours a week, and possible Extended hours in the afternoon if you have the units for Extended care.
First Presbyterian Church Preschool is a well-known leader in providing childcare in the Bay Area. We provide a Christian, play-based, developmentally appropriate program for children ages 18 months to five years old. We value creativity and allow each child to develop naturally in a caring, kind and respectful environment. We offer full day, part time programs and are open from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We have a spacious, safe and well-maintained indoor and outdoor space, which is located a block away from Broadway Avenue in Burlingame.

Here are the desired qualifications:
TEACHER ASSISTANT: (8:45 am – 12:30 pm) and some possible afternoons, depending on Fall enrollment
- Minimum of 12 ECE units (ECE Certificate or AS Degree or higher preferred)
- Preferred 3 ECE units for Infant/Toddler Class – for Extended day care
Desired qualification for our team:
- Must be dedicated, high-energy, creative, flexible and team player
- Communicate effectively with children and staff.
- Previous experience working in a group setting with young children preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
