Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and some non emergency across city streets, highways, and various environments, providing critical care on scene and during transport
- Attend and take part in community events , educational, informational
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and trauma evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Manage airway obstructions, administer injections, medications, and intravenous fluids following established protocols
- Operate emergency vehicles safely while navigating complex city traffic conditions to reach incident sites swiftly
- Execute advanced trauma care procedures such as airway management, hemorrhage control, and trauma stabilization in Level I and Level II trauma centers
- Conduct neonatal resuscitation procedures and pediatric emergency care with precision and sensitivity
- Utilize medical equipment including DME (Durable Medical Equipment), venipuncture tools, and other life support devices accurately during emergencies
- Maintain aseptic techniques during patient care to prevent infections and ensure safety for patients and staff
- Collaborate with incident command teams during large-scale emergencies or multi-casualty incidents to coordinate effective response efforts
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly using medical terminology and incident reports for legal compliance and continuity of care
- Must be NYS Certified Paramedic
Experience
- Proven experience as a Paramedic with a focus on critical care response in fast-paced environments
- Hospital experience with exposure to emergency room procedures, trauma medicine, or urgent care settings is highly desirable
- Critical care transport experience involving complex patient management during transfers between facilities or within specialized units
- Familiarity with Level I Trauma Center protocols and triage procedures for severe injury cases
- Hands-on experience with cardiovascular emergency response including cardiac arrest management and ACLS certification preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and trauma medicine essential for accurate patient assessment and treatment planning
- Demonstrated ability to operate emergency vehicles safely while navigating city streets efficiently
- Experience administering medications via injection or IV lines with attention to aseptic technique and safety standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving patients or equipment in various environments

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
