Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and guest-focused Opening Shift Server to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing the restaurant for service, providing exceptional hospitality, and ensuring guests receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a positive attitude, and is available to work both weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and complete all opening side work before service begins.
- Set up dining room, server stations, beverage stations, and service areas.
- Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders.
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently while ensuring order accuracy.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, beer, wine, and cocktail offerings.
- Monitor guest needs and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash and credit transactions.
- Assist with cleaning, stocking, and maintaining dining room appearance.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and management teams.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
Availability Requirements
- Must be available to work opening shifts.
- Must have availability on weekdays and weekends.
- Availability for holidays and special events is a plus.
- Flexible schedule preferred.
Opening shifts are 9:30-3PM. (Could be shorter or longer depending on business)
Pay: $7.50 per hour
