Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public spaces, and facilities using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment, including floor buffers and sanitation tools.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely, including moving furniture or equipment as needed to maintain cleanliness and facility standards.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation.
- Provide shuttle transportation services for guests or staff, ensuring timely and safe arrivals at designated locations.
- Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas by adhering to commercial cleaning standards and safety procedures.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks when necessary, including minor repairs or reporting issues to the appropriate department.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a focus on commercial or residential cleaning environments.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and proper handling of chemical agents with safety in mind.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling, industrial cleaning, and facilities maintenance.
- Prior porter or maintenance experience is a plus; ability to work independently during evening shifts with energy and motivation.
