Responsibilities:
- Lead and work alongside a crew of 2–6 painters on active jobsites
- Read plans and finish schedules; verify colors, sheens, and specified products before work begins
- Plan daily work, order materials, write schedules, and keep jobs on schedule and within budget
- Perform and inspect surface prep, priming, and finish application on drywall, waterproofing, stucco, CMU, metal, and wood
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades
- Enforce safety requirements, maintain clean work areas, and complete punch lists
- Track crew hours and report daily progress via daily reports
Qualifications:
- 5+ years painting experience, including 2+ years leading a crew
- Strong knowledge of coating systems, prep methods, and spray/roll/brush application
- Experience with waterproofing applications — elastomeric coatings, sealants, caulking, and traffic coatings — is a strong plus
- Comfortable with lifts, scaffolding, and ladders; OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in Keys conditions
- OSHA-10 or similar safety training, familiarity with coastal/hurricane-resistant construction, and experience on commercial or multifamily projects are preferred; reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required.
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
