We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable Waiter/Waitress to join our team at our Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in food service and a strong understanding of Italian cuisine, including pasta, regional specialties, and wine pairings. You will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience by delivering excellent service, guiding guests through the menu, and ensuring all needs are met efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a warm, welcoming manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information on Italian dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Make menu recommendations and upsell specials, wine, and desserts.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a high level of service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of tables and dining areas.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and support a positive team environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a waiter/waitress, preferably in an Italian or Mediterranean restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and dining culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tables.
- Basic wine knowledge, especially Italian wines, is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and customer-oriented.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
