Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director in Training to lead and manage our Child Care Center with enthusiasm and strategic vision. This vital role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with educational regulations, and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development and leading their own classroom. The Director in Training will collaborate closely with staff, families, and community partners to deliver high-quality early childhood education while managing administrative responsibilities effectively. Responsibilities
- Assist the Center Director in managing daily operations, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and program quality assurance
- Lead curriculum development efforts aligned with best practices in early childhood education and childhood development standards
- Oversee personnel management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development facilitation for staff
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to childcare licensing, health and safety standards, and special education laws
- Facilitate strategic planning initiatives to enhance program offerings, community engagement, and overall center growth
- Provide leadership in instructional practices, faculty evaluation, and classroom supervision to promote excellence in teaching and learning
- Maintain strong communication with families through public speaking engagements, parent meetings, and regular updates on child progress
- Coordinate with external agencies on educational compliance and legal requirements related to early childhood education
Requirements
- Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a school administrative director within early childhood or K-12 settings
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles, special education law, and educational regulations governing childcare centers
- Demonstrated success in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and managing educational programs
- Strong management skills with experience supervising school staff and facilitating professional development sessions
- Excellent communication skills for public speaking, team leadership, and building relationships with families and community partners
- Classroom teaching experience in early childhood education or K-12 settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with legal requirements related to school operations, personnel management in education environments, and educational compliance standards
