General Manager – Manufacturing Operations
Location: Bristol, RI
Huestis, a leading manufacturer of medical equipment for radiation therapy and industrial products for the wire and cable industry, is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead operations at our Bristol, Rhode Island manufacturing facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader to oversee manufacturing operations, drive business growth, and work closely with executive leadership to shape the future of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, including operational and financial performance.
- Partner with the Owner and Executive Leadership team to develop and implement strategic business initiatives.
- Establish, execute, and monitor plans to achieve operational goals, productivity targets, and profitability objectives.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture while developing and mentoring employees.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support continued company growth.
- Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to achieve business objectives.
- Lead manufacturing managers in resolving production, quality, scheduling, and operational challenges while promoting continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive management or leadership experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, budgeting, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, operational excellence, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
