Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic Executive Director with strong business acumen to lead our center. The Executive Director will excel by providing leadership, guidance, and modeling a learning environment where administrators, staff, teachers, parents, and children cooperate to achieve academic success and a passion for life-long learning. As a key leader, you will inspire, motivate, and coach staff members while demonstrating the core mission, values, and beliefs of the Academy. You must have a heart for the needs of parents, a deep understanding of the importance of child care and education, and a genuine desire to nurture all SAELC relationships.
Crucial Must-Haves
- Funded Programs Expertise: Proven experience in managing, reporting, documenting, and fulfilling all requirements of funded educational programs.
- Educational Innovation: A track record of creating programs and innovating educational initiatives.
- Inclusive Education: Deep understanding of the needs of unique learners.
- Staff Leadership: Exceptional ability to manage, coach, and mentor teachers effectively.
- PreK Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of PHLpreK and PreK Programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and achieve center enrollment goals.
- Collaborate with the CEO and others to establish center budgets and manage spending.
- Create and develop strong parent/staff relationships resulting in a high rate of retention and referrals.
- Support the development of all mandated staff training, development, and CEU courses.
- Use your knowledge of child development domains to meet the developmental needs of all children, including early childhood ages, school-aged, children with special needs, and those from diverse backgrounds.
- Ensure classroom assessments, evaluations, and observations are conducted regularly, reported, recorded, and used to foster growth.
- Select appropriate groupings of children, staff assignments, and transitions based on age, development, culture, language, and ability differences.
- Ensure proper implementation of the Creative Curriculum and supplemental materials by age group.
- Support the management of nutrition and meal service for preschool, including menus, service, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Build community relationships and generate enrollment through participation in local organizations, events, and marketing.
- Oversee all invoicing and reporting for families.
- Adhere to all state and local educational and licensing requirements, ensuring full compliance (PA 3270).
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with all company information, policies, procedures, and records.
- Complete a minimum of 24 hours of ongoing professional development yearly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Certification in Education is highly preferred and considered a terrific asset for this role!
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master’s preferred or equivalent).
- PA Director Credential Eligible
- Four years in a management position of a childcare facility, preschool, or equivalent.
- Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age children.
- Strong time management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Data Management Systems is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
