Position Summary
As a Dump Truck Driver, you will report directly to the Job Foreman and Dispatcher. Your primary responsibilities include transporting materials to job sites. This role is essential to supporting our excavation and concrete crews.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to deliver materials to job site
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain and grease equipment regularly
- Communicate clearly with the Foreman and Dispatcher
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Perform minor mechanical repairs as needed
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Must participate in a random drug testing program (FMCSA compliant)
Experience:
- Prior experience operating commercial vehicles required
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent coordination and attention to detail
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Uneven terrain and physically demanding tasks
- Regular lifting of up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Kneeling, bending, and use of PPE required
- Travel to local job sites may be required
- No drug or alcohol use permitted during work hours
- Required attire: Company-logo tee (minimum 4” sleeve), pants, and work boots
