Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 16-week travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. This role requires a highly skilled OR RN with extensive experience across multiple surgical specialties, including transplant, neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, and gynecology. Candidates must be experienced travelers and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Circulate a variety of complex surgical cases while maintaining patient safety and sterile technique.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and surgical supplies.
- Perform accurate patient assessments and documentation using Epic EMR.
- Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety standards.
- Participate in call rotation and float as required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 4 years of Operating Room experience prior to travel (Hard Stop)
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience accepted by the unit; however, 4 years prior to travel is mandatory
- BLS Certification
- Epic EMR experience required
