Host/Hostess - Full-Time
Artisan Restaurant | Southport, CT
Artisan Restaurant is seeking an experienced Host/Hostess to help lead our front-of-house guest experience. This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability and occasional holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all dining reservations
- Lead and direct host team and dining room flow
- Greet guests and ensure a warm, professional first impression
- Coordinate with service staff to deliver efficient, high-quality service
- Communicate guest needs clearly to the team
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus and restaurant procedures
- Address guest inquiries and ensure seamless handoff to servers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess in fine dining (leadership experience preferred)
- Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Familiarity with OpenTable preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Fluent in English
