JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to design and implement assessments to identify the function of behavior.
2. Developing individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, based on assessment results.
3. Design data collection systems to monitor behavior and skill development.
4. Oversee the recruitment, supervision, and ongoing professional development of program staff, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and best practices.
5. Conduct training sessions for parents or caregivers on behavior management strategies and developing resources to promote consistency and independence across settings.
6. Collaborate care with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other service providers to advocate for behavioral principles in meetings to ensure coordinated service delivery.
7. Analyzes data on a weekly basis on client behaviors and effectiveness of behavior intervention strategies to make data driven decisions to modify or change plans as necessary.
8. Develop and implement strategies for managing emergency situations or behavioral crises to promote a safe environment.
9. Adhere to the BACB Ethical Guidelines for Behavior Analysts, maintaining confidentiality, and professionalism
10. Comply with program regulations by keeping accurate and up-to-date client records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and BACB guidelines.
11. Must ensure timely completion of the renewal requirements to maintain their certification status.
12. Performs other duties as assigned by the primary care administrator.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS;
1. A Master’s Degree or higher in behavior analysis, education, psychology, or a related field
2. Current BCBA Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB or BCBA-D)
3. Minimum of 1 year in supervising or managing RBTs and individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
4. At least 2 years of experience working in ABA therapy or related fields
5. Knowledge of another language helpful, Spanish preferred
6. Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
7. Current Florida State driver’s license
8. Must be able to travel 25% of The Time.
