All elementary schools in TCSD, concentration in outlying schools
Position Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of the Curriculum Director over Accelerated Programs, and under the daily direction of the licensed GEM teachers, provide support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for delivering Gifted Enrichment Model (GEM) lessons to identified students at assigned schools. Lessons and materials are prepared by the licensed GEM teachers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Deliver prepared GEM lessons to small groups of identified students.
- Follow the lesson plans, pacing, and materials provided by the licensed GEM teachers.
- Travel to Anna Smith, Dugway and Vernon elementary schools on a set weekly schedule: Mondays 8:15-3:00; Wednesdays 8:30-2:30; Fridays 9:00-11:00. Remaining hours flexible.
- Prepare and organize materials before each session.
- Supervise assigned students within GEM and to and from the classroom.
- Maintain attendance and participation records for the purpose of meeting reporting requirements (grant, student, demographics).
- Monitor student success and/or struggles and report observations to the GEM teachers for future decision-making.
- Collaborate with others (supervisor, building administrator, and teachers) for the purpose of scheduling and maintaining services or programs.
- Participate in onboarding and ongoing training provided by the licensed GEM teachers.
Additional Duties:
Perform any other related GEM duties as assigned.

Equipment:
Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers, scanners, and curricula materials.
Travel Requirements:
Travel between schools and the District Office. Valid Utah driver license. District car will be provided.

Work Environment:
- Standard office and/or school building environments.
- Small groups of students.
Qualifications Profile:
- Preferred experience working with students at the elementary school level.
Contract:
- 27 hours per week, 178 days per year
- Support Professional, Level E Rate 1
