Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will support all aspects of human resources operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, and performance management. This role serves as a key partner to employees and management, helping ensure a highly engaged workforce while maintaining compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Staffing
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing, maintenance, administrative, and leadership positions.
- Post job openings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and coordinate hiring activities.
- Manage onboarding and new hire orientation programs.
- Maintain relationships workforce development organizations.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Assist managers with employee coaching, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
- Support employee recognition and retention initiatives.
HR Administration
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Administer benefit enrollments and employee leave programs.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with company policies.
- Support payroll-related processes and coordinate with payroll providers.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with workplace investigations and policy enforcement.
- Support OSHA compliance initiatives and safety programs.
- Participate in audits and maintain required HR records.
Training & Development
- Coordinate employee training programs and compliance requirements.
- Track training completion and maintain records.
- Assist with performance review processes and employee development plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience
- Recruiting for skilled trades, maintenance, production, and manufacturing positions.
- Working in multi-shift manufacturing environments.
- Supporting employee relations and workforce development initiatives.
