Project Manager - Commercial & Healthcare Construction
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial and ground-up construction projects, with a focus on healthcare facilities. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of construction processes, excellent stakeholder communication, and proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams through all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities

Lead project planning and execution for commercial and ground-up construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; identify and mitigate risks and variances.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site construction teams to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications and regulations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and consultants; maintain transparent communication and manage expectations.

Prepare, review, and approve contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.

Implement and enforce safety and quality control programs; ensure regulatory and code compliance, particularly for healthcare projects with specialized requirements.

Monitor project financials including cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and claims management.

Drive problem-solving on site, resolve conflicts, and make timely decisions to keep projects on schedule.

Conduct regular site visits, progress meetings, and inspections; document and report project status to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Mentor and develop junior project staff; promote efficient workflows and continuous improvement in project delivery.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, including ground-up projects; experience in healthcare construction strongly preferred.

Proven track record managing projects ranging in size and complexity, with documented on-time and on-budget delivery.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, means and materials, scheduling (Critical Path Method), and cost control practices.

Familiarity with healthcare-specific construction requirements, including infection control protocols, MEP coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills; ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Proficient with project management and construction software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar) and Microsoft Office suite.

Relevant certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or OSHA 30 are a plus.

Valid drivers license; willingness to travel to job sites as required.
