Summary:
The Maintainence Technician assures that equipment is maintained for maximum available production capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Verifies Preventative Maintenance work orders are properly matched to the equipment in the area.

Follow through for accurate Countermeasures on Major Breakdown Reports

Ensures adequate spare parts are available

Manages any ongoing projects in the department

Interacts with Vendors and Contractors for related work in the Department

Understanding and implementation of a safe work environment

Schedules shutdown work with Planners

Assists with creation of One Point Lessons and Standard Operating Procedures for tasks necessary for more efficient repair and troubleshooting

Ensures that department is kept in a clean 5s standard

Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor on communicating work load and recommended improvements

Requires On Call availability
Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical/analytic skills

Effective written/oral communication

Good working knowledge of computer applications
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
-
5-8 years related experience including good working knowledge of PLC’s, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and welding equipment.

Must have had an effective background in environmental safety and supervision
