Oxbow High School is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered individual to serve as the Varsity Indoor Track & Field Head Coach. The successful candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both athletically and personally while fostering a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture.Responsibilities: Plan and lead all varsity indoor track & field practices and competitions.Develop training plans that emphasize skill development, conditioning, and athlete safety.Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and respect.Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school administration, and the athletic department.Ensure compliance with Oxbow High School, Vermont Principals' Association (VPA), and school district policies.Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate all aspects of the indoor track program.Maintain equipment and assist with program organization and scheduling.Encourage multi-sport participation while supporting the overall mission of Oxbow Athletics.Preferred Qualifications: Previous coaching experience in track & field or a related sport is preferred.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to motivate and mentor high school student-athletes.Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Completion of all district- and VPA-required coaching certifications and background checks prior to the season.Season: Winter (November through February)Compensation: Per the negotiated coaching salary schedule.How to Apply: Interested applicants should submit their application through SchoolSpring or contact the Oxbow High School Athletic Department for additional information.
