Overview
We're looking for a weekday host, with available hours from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm to join our vibrant hospitality team as a Host/Hostess, where your energy and exceptional guest service skills will set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure smooth seating arrangements and efficient reservation management, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them through the seating process
- Manage restaurant reservations using advanced table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate booking and waitlist updates
- Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and menu details while practicing excellent phone etiquette
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area that reflects our commitment to food safety and guest comfort
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring every visitor feels valued and cared for
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service hospitality is highly preferred
- Proven ability to manage restaurant reservations and utilize restaurant table management systems effectively
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone communication and etiquette
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling guest counts, wait times, and reservation schedules accurately
