We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Co-Lead Montessori Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to plan and implement Montessori-based lesson plans that align with developmental milestones and individual needs.
- Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and respect for each child.
- Support classroom management by guiding behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
- Engage children in activities that develop literacy, math, physical education, and other core skills through hands-on learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns, ensuring transparency and partnership.
- Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, attendance records, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards.
- Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to safeguard the health and safety of all children in your care.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and Montessori methodology.
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; familiarity with toddler care is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills coupled with effective behavior management techniques.
- Ability to develop engaging curriculum content across subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in childcare environments.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; understanding of mandated reporting laws is essential.
