Crisis care is changing for South Central Louisiana—and we are building the team to lead it.
South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority (SCLHSA) is preparing to launch a new SCLHSA Behavioral Health Crisis Care Center in Thibodaux. The BHCC will provide adults experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis with a community-based alternative when an emergency department, jail, or inpatient hospitalization may not be the most appropriate response.
Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, the SCLHSA BHCC will provide a welcoming, recovery-focused environment where individuals can receive crisis assessment, intervention, short-term observation, support, and connection to the most appropriate next step.
SCLHSA is seeking mission-driven professionals who want to be part of the SCLHSA BHCC launch team and help build a new crisis-care access point for Region 3.
SCLHSA is recruiting contractors for the following roles:
Licensed Professional Counselors
Licensed Clinical Social Workers
PRN, flexible, evening, overnight, weekend, and other contract opportunities may be available. Shift differential available.
The BHCC is not a traditional outpatient clinic or hospital unit. It is a voluntary, community-based crisis-care setting focused on safety, dignity, de-escalation, recovery, diversion, and connection to ongoing care.
