The Assistant Event Manager supports in planning, coordinating, and executing weddings, corporate events, concerts, private parties, and community events. This role ensures exceptional client service from booking through event completion while maintain the venue's standards for hospitality, organization, and professionalism.
- Assist with guest tours and event planning
- Assist with client files
- Serve as a point of contact for clients leading up to and during events
- Schedule and participate in final details meetings
- Respond promptly to client inquiries
- Assist in managing events from setup through breakdown
- Ensure rooms are set according to client specifications
- Host all events and ensure a high quality of customer service from start to finish
- Ensure the front of house area looks presentable and tidy at all times
- Manage vendor relationships and coordination for events- catering, AV, rentals, security, etc.
- Assist with bridal shows, open houses, networking events
- Ensure all systems and procedures are followed at all times
- Lead the Front of House team and ensure the smooth running of the Front of House operation
- Assist with recruitment, development and training of new staff
- Ensure all Front of House staff have the appropriate training; manage the daily scheduling for all staff
- Plan and monitor event sales, revenue, and labor/operational costs
- Deal with any issues raised by visitors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to travel locally
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for long periods of time
- 2+ years Event Coordination experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with online scheduling
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Professional communication and appearance
- Strong organizational and time management skills is a must
