Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include preventative maintenance and repair of all electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
- General facility maintenance, including (but not limited to) repairing light fixtures, snow removal and painting.
- Maintain accurate and complete records, forms, and processes.
- Follow all work instructions and procedures to ensure ISO compliance.
- Ensure daily requirements, tasks, and objectives are met to ensure customer compliance, and satisfaction, while providing a safe work environment for all employees.
- Maintain adequate stock of parts and supplies needed to maintain all of the manufacturing operations.
- Work with management to implement continuous improvement and safety initiatives throughout the facility.
- Assist molding, coating, and waste treatment personnel when needed.
- Occasionally assist with maintenance requirements at other facility when needed.
- Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor or designee.
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Training Requirements
- Any Safety Training, 6S, equipment maintenance, OSHA, or plant equipment training would be beneficial, but it is not required.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to read hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic prints and diagrams.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail.
- Accurate record keeping skills.
- Must be capable of maintaining a safe, neat, and clean work environment at all times.
- Must be willing to work some overtime including weekends.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year as a maintenance technician/mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with injection molding machines is beneficial.
- Experience using the following computer software preferred: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Data Base Software including Access.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able and willing to move upwards of 85 lbs. on a regular and daily basis.
