Warehouse Associate
Pay rate starting $17-19/hr DOE
This position is a hands-on position that requires you to work in the warehouse loading/unloading trucks and some delivery / unloading of product.
Must have experience in warehouse loading and unloading trucks, working with materials and inventory.
- Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assist in pre-staging jobs.
- Helps maintain a clean warehouse and keeps it in order.
- Helps with inventory.
- Assist with customers.
- Load and unload trucks; deliver products. Glazing doors (cutting doors to install glass and springs)
- Forklift certification a plus but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic math skills including the ability to measure and use cutting tools.
- Basic reading -English
- Go getter, must be able to work with customers and teammates.
- Ability to work without constant supervision.
Physical requirements and working conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lifting: Safely lift materials up to 25 lbs. unassisted and up to 75 lbs. assisted. Heavier loads with additional assistance.
- Work Environment: Work safely near moving mechanical parts. Regularly work in an environment where the noise level is moderately loud. Ear protection may be required.
- Weather Exposure: Regularly work in various weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
