Architectural Services Representative - Regional Program Representative
The Architectural Services Representative (ASR) Regional Program Representative must have a passion for quality, a talent for building excellent relationships, a background in sales, and extensive knowledge of the commercial architectural woodwork industry.
General Purpose of Job
The primary responsibility of the Regional Program Representatives is to meet with architects and specifiers to market the Woodwork Institute’s programs and services. This representative is the primary point of contact for specifiers and fabricators, and must maintain good working relationships with all architects, engineers, specification writers and design professionals in his/her territory and demonstrate to those customers our desire to provide the highest level of professional services available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for architects, engineers, specification writers, design professionals, woodworkers, and the affiliates in your territory.
Provide answers pertaining to specifications, details, products, fabrication, and quality issues as per the North American Architectural Woodwork Standards
Review project specifications.
Work with multiple software platforms to provide consistent reporting.
Attend association meetings and trade shows
Be able to travel up to 4 days each week, including occasional overnight stays
Skills Required
Read, analyze, and interpret general business information, technical procedures, and government regulations
Read architectural drawings and specifications
Provide reports and business correspondence using provided software
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Use Microsoft Office Applications and data entry business platforms
Additional Information
The ASR Regional Program Representative is responsible for developing a large network of design professionals. Participation in the local chapter of Construction Specification Institute (CSI), including monthly meetings and occasional tradeshows, is expected. Additional participation in local industry events to grow this network is part of the role.
The successful representative must be able to work with minimal supervision, have good project management skills, organization, and time management skills.
The ASR must be physically capable of lifting 25 lbs, climbing a ladder, crouching down in a squat for up to 10-15 minutes at a time, and walking multiple flights of stairs.
Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no subordinate employees reporting to this position. There are no other non-supervisory employees who report directly to this position.
