Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to enhance patients' functional independence . Whether working from home or in- person you will empower children from 1 to 18 years of all age, to achieve their highest potential. Your expertise will help facilitate recovery, improve quality of life, and support successful discharge planning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs using physiology knowledge and medical terminology.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s goals and medical condition.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence.
- Collaborate with speech therapists to coordinate care effectively..
- Work with individuals in outpatient clinics.
- Maintain. accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Engage in early intervention programs for pediatric populations and provide specialized therapy for patients with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Promote patient safety by adhering to healthcare protocols and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland licensure as an Occupational Therapist..
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and case management principles.
- Experience assisting with ADLs and discharge planning for diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities across all age groups ifor pediatrics
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental conditions is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage patients effectively.
