Job Overview:
The Food Pantry Warehouse Coordinator oversees the efficient functioning of the food pantry's warehouse operations. This role is pivotal in managing inventory, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring the timely distribution of food to those in need within our community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Oversee all food pantry inventory operations, ensuring accurate tracking, proper stock rotation, and adequate supply levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers and donors to maintain a consistent and timely food supply.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to support efficient warehouse operations and minimize shortages and waste.
- Oversee the organization and functionality of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, accessibility, and use of space.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary warehouse environment in accordance with applicable health and safety standards.
- Ensure storage systems are organized and optimized to accommodate various types of food items and support efficient distribution.
- Oversee food distribution operations, ensuring coordination between warehouse and pantry staff to support timely and efficient distribution schedules.
- Ensure food items are properly prepared, packaged, and organized for distribution.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of deliveries and pickups, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of food supplies.
- Oversee volunteer coordination within the warehouse, ensuring volunteers are properly supported, guided, and utilized to meet operational needs.
- Foster a positive, organized, and supportive environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and meaningful service.
- Provide appropriate training, direction, and supervision to ensure volunteers contribute effectively to warehouse operations.
- Oversee reporting and documentation related to inventory, donations, distribution activities, and volunteer involvement, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, facility, vehicle, and security standards to protect the integrity of warehouse operations, company assets, and inventory.
- Monitor and ensure proper documentation of inventory movements, distribution activity, and operational statistics.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- 2 previous experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or a similar role is preferred.
