American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and AHA-certified credentials including NRP and EFM.

Labor & Delivery unit located on the 3rd floor of a hospital setting
-
9-bed unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
-
Adult patient population with diagnoses including normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage

Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
-
Every other weekend required

Float requirement to Postpartum

EMR systems: Centricity and Meditech
-
13-week contract
-
Active AL RN license or compact RN license required

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, and EFM

Minimum of 2 years of L&D experience required

Proficiency in fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management required

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities include intrapartum and postpartum nursing care with a focus on fetal monitoring, emergency response, and high-acuity obstetric conditions

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays

Ceil blue scrubs required; scrubs with slogans, graphics, offensive content, or non-compliant colors are not permitted

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
