Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Manager to lead our team during daily operations, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience. As a key leader on the floor, you will oversee staff performance, manage store functions, and uphold high standards of service and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth workflow during your shift
- Lead and motivate team members by providing clear direction, coaching, and support to meet sales goals and service standards
- Manage employee scheduling, training new hires, and conducting performance evaluations to foster a productive team environment
- Oversee inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing accuracy, and inventory control
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure exceptional customer service through effective communication skills
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and reporting; ensure cashiering procedures are followed accurately
- Support purchasing decisions by monitoring stock levels and assisting with vendor relations when necessary
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or management experience in retail sales or a similar customer-focused environment with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience with inventory management, merchandising, POS systems, and retail math for pricing and sales analysis
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, interviewing candidates, and payroll processing
- Knowledge of retail operations including cash handling, budgeting, purchasing, stock control, and store management practices
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
