What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests warmly and create a polished first impression
- Manage reservations, waitlists, guest profiles and table assignments through OpenTable
- Review and communicate special requests, celebrations and seating preferences
- Balance reservations, walk-ins and server sections to support smooth dining room flow
- Answer phones and assist with reservations, restaurant information and guest questions
- Recognize returning guests and help personalize their experience
- Coordinate closely with servers, bussers and managers to seat guests efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional host stand and entrance
Who We’re Looking For
- Previous host, receptionist, customer-service or restaurant experience required
- Experience using OpenTable or another reservation-management platform is highly valued
- A polished appearance and professional, welcoming demeanor
- Excellent communication, organization and multitasking skills
- Comfort answering phones and communicating with guests in person and over the phone
- The ability to remain calm, gracious and organized during busy dinner services
- Sound judgment when balancing reservations, walk-ins and special seating requests
- A dependable, team-oriented attitude
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Upscale or full-service restaurant experience is highly valued, but we also welcome candidates with strong customer-service skills who are eager to grow in hospitality.
