A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Machinist to support maintenance and production operations at its Nashville, TN facility. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and fabricating components for industrial equipment while supporting both preventive and emergency maintenance activities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical professional with strong machining skills and experience working with industrial equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, machining, or a related mechanical field

Strong hands-on mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Experience operating and working with machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and surface grinders

Ability to read and follow mechanical prints, work instructions, and technical documentation

Experience using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
-
Ability to work safely and independently while following EHS policies and procedures

Must be willing to complete required training and obtain certifications to operate PIV equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and aerial lifts

Associate degree or technical education in Machining, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline

3+ years of industrial maintenance or machining experience

Experience with welding, metal hardening furnaces, and related industrial equipment

Experience refurbishing, repairing, or duplicating mechanical parts

Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles and industrial equipment

Experience performing root cause analysis and developing corrective actions

Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
-
Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Perform scheduled, emergency, and preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment
-
Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues to restore operations safely and efficiently
-
Diagnose mechanical problems, complete repairs, and identify root causes to prevent recurring failures

Operate lathes, mills, drill presses, surface grinders, welders, and other machine shop equipment
-
Fabricate, refurbish, or duplicate mechanical parts as needed to support equipment repairs

Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other inspection tools

Communicate findings and recommended corrective actions to the Maintenance Supervisor

Complete general maintenance duties, training, and other assignments as directed
Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the job may include: standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and sitting for extended periods; lifting and moving materials and equipment; and working around industrial machinery, tools, noise, heat, and other manufacturing conditions. Employees must be able to safely operate or become certified to operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and aerial lifts. Proper PPE and compliance with all EHS policies and procedures are required.
