Position Purpose
The purpose of an Assistant Buyer is to support the Buyers in all aspects of the purchasing process, including product selection, vendor communication, inventory management, and order placement. This position reports to the Senior Buyer.
Tasks
- Run and review regular suggested order reports, create POs and place orders.
- Log orders in the PO Tracking sheets
- Submit SKU loading and update needs to the SKU Maintenance sheet
- Review order confirmations and update purchase orders accordingly for quantity and price
- Communicate with vendors and share relevant information with other support departments and operations.
- Attend meetings with Vendors along with the buyers as requested.
- Support receiving warehouses when checking in orders as needed
- Create inter store transfers
- Create special orders as needed
- Attend regular meetings with supervisor
- Follow up with vendors to resolve issues with orders as needed
- "On site" attendance must fall within standards as outlined in the company handbook
- Any other tasks required as determined by management
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
