Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various heavy machinery and performing utility and site work to ensure efficient project progress. Your expertise will help maintain safety standards, support construction activities, and contribute to the successful completion of diverse infrastructure projects. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and Caterpillar machinery with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Conduct excavation, grading, utility locating, and construction utility work according to project specifications
- Assist in construction site preparation, including site clearing, leveling, and material handling
- Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times
- Support construction activities by loading, transporting, and positioning materials using appropriate equipment
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs of equipment
- Ability to perform construction grading, excavation, and utility work accurately
- Skilled in commercial truck driving with valid licensing for transporting equipment or materials as needed
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety procedures on-site
- Experience with utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation
- Familiarity with construction site operations and general construction experience is highly desirable
