Work Shift
Rotating shifts: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM, every other weekend, Overnight shifts: 9:45 PM - 6:15 AM, two weekends on and one off. Hours may vary to meet department needs.

The North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking Flex Direct Support Professional(s) to connect with and assist persons residing at the Life Skills and Transition Center (LSTC) in Grafton to complete daily living activities in order to be independent and transition to community providers.
Each day, you will assist the individuals to identify their goals for learning and practicing new skills, and what is important for them. Daily life activities may include personal hygiene tasks, work/job, recreation/leisure, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Also, you will model effective communication and socialization interactions as well as teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies. You will observe, monitor, document and report on the individuals' condition and progress both orally and in writing to the team of the person served.
You will thrive in this position, if you have a person first approach and mindset to provide individuals with knowledge on life skills and how to overcome barriers that may be present in their lives. You will be able to convey information accurately, respectfully, and thoroughly verbally and in writing. You will have basic computer skills to log on and enter information into specific computer programs used.
To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or GED. No experience required; we will train you onsite.
