Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join a busy outpatient practice in Irvine, CA. This role focuses on providing comprehensive women's healthcare services to patients ranging from adolescents (13+) through geriatrics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing routine and complex gynecologic and obstetric care, performing office-based procedures, and seeing a high-volume patient population in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Patient Volume

Average 18–21 patients per day

Approximately 20 patients daily

Follow-up visits: 15 minutes
-
New patient visits and procedures: 30 minutes
Responsibilities
-
Conduct comprehensive women's health evaluations and treatment plans
-
Perform confirmation of pregnancy visits using bedside ultrasound for pregnancies greater than 7 weeks
-
Complete initial OB visits, routine OB visits, postpartum visits, and incision checks
-
Perform well-woman examinations for patients of all ages
-
Diagnose and treat common women's health conditions including:
-
UTIs
-
STIs
-
Menopause-related concerns
-
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) management
-
Breast pain and other gynecologic concerns
-
Perform office-based procedures including:
-
IUD insertion and removal
-
Nexplanon insertion and removal
-
Incision and drainage (I&D) of cysts
-
Colposcopy
-
LEEP procedures
-
Endometrial biopsy (EMB)
-
Cryotherapy
-
Cervical polyp removal
-
Document all patient encounters accurately in EPIC
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum of 2 years of Women's Health Nurse Practitioner experience

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
-
Active and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license
-
DEA registration
-
Current BLS or ACLS certification
-
EPIC experience required
Required Clinical Skills

Confirmation of pregnancy visits utilizing bedside ultrasound

Initial and routine obstetric care

Postpartum care
-
Incision checks
-
Well-woman exams across all age groups

IUD and Nexplanon insertion/removal

Management of gynecologic and reproductive health concerns

Performance of office-based gynecologic procedures
