Join our dynamic team as a Pool Technician and become a vital part of maintaining pristine, safe, and inviting swimming environments. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for ensuring pools are clean, chemically balanced, and functioning flawlessly. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional aquatic experiences for our clients, combining technical skills with a passion for service. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop your mechanical and maintenance skills while working in a lively, team-oriented environment. This is a part time position that requires 2 full days available a week. A personal truck is required to be used for the position.
Duties
- Perform routine pool cleaning including skimming, brushing, vacuuming, and debris removal to maintain optimal water clarity and hygiene.
- Conduct water testing using specialized chemical agents and adjust chemical levels to ensure proper water treatment and safety standards are met.
- Inspect and troubleshoot pool plumbing systems, pumps, filters, and circulation equipment to identify issues early and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to repair or replace pool components such as valves, filters, or piping systems efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of water chemistry, maintenance activities, repairs performed, and safety checks for compliance and quality assurance.
- Respond promptly to service calls for pool maintenance or equipment repair requests from clients or management.
- Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and troubleshooting pool systems.
- Proficiency in handling water treatment chemicals safely and accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks involving pool plumbing systems.
- Experience as a service technician or in a similar maintenance role within the pool or HVAC industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams related to pool equipment and plumbing.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for record keeping and task management.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and provide exceptional customer service.
