TJ Nisbet is growing and needs a Traveling Construction Superintendent in the N. Dakota, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Arizona area. The first assignment will be in N. Dakota. Candidate should have experience in commercial construction.
Our company has been in business for over 40 years, and is looking to grow our team! We are searching for our next experienced Travel Construction Superintendents with a demonstrated ability in all phases of project supervision and leadership. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ full-build experience in multi-family, commercial building, and possesses extensive knowledge of structural concrete, steel, and/or wood frame construction. You will have an opportunity to work on many exciting projects that range in size between $300K to $5M+ dollars.
Key Responsibilities
- Must be a skilled and knowledgeable craftsman who is aware of the leading and latest construction techniques.
- Must be able to organize and lead a group of craft workers efficiently to obtain maximum productivity.
- Responsible for ordering and assuring materials and equipment are available and in place prior to crews beginning work in an area.
- Receive and coordinate jobsite deliveries of materials and equipment.
- Must coordinate scaffolding requirements and oversee onsite fabrication.
- Responsible for preparing "look-ahead" schedules consistent with the Project Schedule.
- Responsible for working with the head Project Manager, providing input and feedback where requested.
- Implement and manage Quality Assurance Program to ensure compliance with Project Specifications and other contract document requirements.
- Complete daily reports in a timely manner.
- Responsible for holding toolbox safety meetings, preparing written reports, and conduct any safety incidents investigations.
- Support projects to ensure overall success and maintain proper project records and documentation.
You Are Qualified If
- You hold a high school diploma (or equivalent); a degree in building science, construction management, or engineering, preferred. A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
- You have a minimum of five years in the construction industry, with supervisory experience.
- You can demonstrate experience in fast food, fine dining, multi-family, commercial, tenant improvement, and/or industrial.
- You are knowledgeable in computer programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project, and Viewpoint.
- You are a positive team player who is skilled in communication, efficiency, organization, and multi-tasking.
- You have the ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
- You possess strong mathematical skills, calculate proper dimensions of components, read/write/speak English, read blueprints, manuals, specifications, and communicate effectively with coworkers.
- You have a driver’s license and can operate a vehicle safely.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
