Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Mover/Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting, loading, and unloading items efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving, moving, or warehouse operations, with a focus on delivering a smooth and professional experience for clients. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, to deliver goods to various locations.
- Load and unload items using equipment such as dollies and straps, ensuring proper handling of all cargo.
- Assist customers with moving furniture or large items, providing courteous and professional service.
- Plan and follow efficient route driving schedules to meet deadlines.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and work area at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally during deliveries.
Skills
- Proven experience in local moving, driving or courier services, with a strong knowledge of route planning and driving safety.
- Packing, lifting, driving.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during moving tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices for box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Strong organizational skills to manage route schedules effectively.
- Ability to operate vehicles confidently.
- Experience in moving services or warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed. This role is vital in ensuring stellar moving while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
