Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and account analysis using software such as QuickBooks Online or similar systems
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process payroll and handle payroll-related transactions in compliance with applicable regulations
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to support management decision-making
- Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to verify the integrity of financial information
Skills
- Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and technical accounting concepts
- Proven ability in bank reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account analysis
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and governmental or non-profit accounting standards
- Excellent understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation procedures
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for accurate data entry and record keeping
- Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and perform account analysis efficiently
