Duties:
- Complete progress notes, individualized service plans and quarterly reports
- Provide counseling services to adults 18 and up dealing with mental health symptoms (i.e depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia etc).
- Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems
- Counsel clients individually to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
- Work independently performing position duties under general supervision.
Experience:
- Must be registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Qualified Mental Health Professional or Qualified Mental Health ProfessionalTrainee (QMHP-T)
- Previous experience in counseling is preferred
- Driver's license
- Must be CPR/ First Aid Certified
- Must successfully complete criminal background and central registry check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
