DeskMakers is a growing, entrepreneurial office furniture manufacturer with under 100 team members who each make a real impact. We enable our corporate customers to achieve their design vision through stylish, customizable products built in the USA. Our manufacturing facilities in Los Angeles and Dallas are expanding, and we need a sharp, hands-on production leader to run our Dallas plant floor.
If you have run a Millwork operation or other light assembly operation then we're interested in meeting with you. Your team will start with 9 employees within a 35,000 square foot building and grow based on your ability to hire and train. The right candidate will implement improvements based on their real world experience. Your typical day will involve production planning for your team in addition to training furniture assemblers and CNC machine operators in efficient and safe practices. Experience with designing and implementing fixtures to increase productivity is a plus. Experience with lean manufacturing is another plus. This position is on the factory floor managing the individual workgroups.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in wood manufacturing utilizing CNC Routers and Edgebanders
- Some background in production planning and lean methodologies
- Ability to scale operations from initial builds to best-in-class manufacturing
- Expertise in implementing new manufacturing machines or technologies from places like the International Woodworking Fair.
- Track record of developing and leading high-performance teams
You'll be responsible for:
Production Management
- Overseeing end-to-end furniture manufacturing processes
- Optimizing production efficiency and quality control
- Implementing innovative manufacturing techniques
Team Leadership
- Managing and expanding a skilled production team
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety
- Collaborating with engineering and design teams
- Scaling production capabilities to meet growing demand
